BACKGROUND:
Robert Broadie was raised in Thomasville, NC. Having completed his high school education at Thomasville High, he enlisted in the United States Army serving in Korea, Germany, Turkey, and Iraq. Upon being honorably discharged, he continued his education at Davidson County Community College. Robert received a pre-law scholarship and completed his B.A. Degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Robert received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000. He passed the North Carolina Bar exam the same year and was sworn-in to practice law in North Carolina in September 2000 and subsequently sworn-in to practice in Federal District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of North Carolina.
Family
Robert is married to Lura Broadie and is the father to two children, Ryan and Darius. Ryan, a graduate of NC State University, is currently a sergeant in the US Army. Darius, who attended Davidson County Community College, currently works for Amazon. Robert has two grandchildren Ava and Oshea.
The middle child of Lee and Wilma Broadie, Robert shares many memories with his siblings Mark and Teresa.
